“Southern Alberta Severe Weather Alert Lifted”

Must read

Environment Canada has removed a yellow alert for severe weather following a storm that swept across parts of southern Alberta. The agency warned of potential damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the storm progressed from Claresholm towards regions near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning, issued earlier on Tuesday, highlighted the threat of a severe thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing destruction to structures and trees.

Despite the lifting of the initial warning, a yellow watch for severe thunderstorms remained in effect across a large area extending from Claresholm to Hays and south to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates, individuals are encouraged to visit the Environment Canada website.

If you have any photographs or videos of the storm, they can be shared by emailing calgaryphotos@cbc.ca.
